SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego County will open vaccinations to new teams beginning Saturday.
In response to the county, schooling and childcare staff, emergency service staff, and those that work in agriculture and meals will likely be eligible for the vaccine beginning this weekend.
The announcement strikes the county into Section 1B of the vaccine effort.
“We will likely be opening up vaccines to a few half 1,000,000 San Diegans,” Supervisor Nathan Fletcher stated Wednesday. “There won’t be half 1,000,000 appointments out there Saturday or Sunday or Monday or for a lot of weeks coming ahead,” Fletcher cautioned.
The county determined to open up the vaccine appointments after an absence of first-dose appointment utilization by seniors, Fletcher stated.
