In October last year, the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE smartphone with not the most advanced technical features was presented characteristics. However, its next model, Galaxy S24 FE, plans to repeat this path and offer versions with both Snapdragon and Exynos processors.
RBK-Ukraine (Styler project) writes about this with reference to the Chinese blog Gizchina , dedicated to Android news.
A user with the nickname “Connor/이콘어/Connor” reports that South Korea's Anapass has been awarded a contract to supply its embedded sync controller driver (TED) for Galaxy S24 FE.
He also claims that the release of the smartphone is planned for this summer period. This presumably hints at a possible appearance at the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event, where the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Tab S10 and other devices could also be unveiled.
This means that the Galaxy S24 FE may come just eight months after the release of the Galaxy S23 FE and six months after the standard version of the Galaxy S24. However, Samsung could also just show the smartphone at the event and release it later this year.
Basically, the Galaxy S23 FE can be seen as a canceled version of the Galaxy S22 FE. So, the Galaxy S24 FE is likely to use the most advanced technology to keep up with other non-Fe-branded models.
In terms of its design, The Galaxy S24 FE will retain a similar appearance to the Galaxy S24 series smartphones. The smartphone will come with a 6.1-inch AMOLED display, 12 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and will be available with two storage options: 128 GB (UFS 3.1) and 256 GB (UFS 4.0). The 4,500 mAh battery supports 25W fast charging.
According to the available information, unlike its predecessor, which was equipped with Exynos 2200 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chips depending on the region, the Galaxy S24 FE will only run on on Samsung's own chip.
One of the main advantages over other Android-based devices in its class will be 7 years of operating system updates and security patches, similar to the flagship line.
