In April security, the company officially stated that the popular Galaxy S20 series and some other models will no longer receive neither system or protective updates.

< P > Among the devices that will now be left without updates, Galaxy S20, S20+, S20 Ultra, as well as middle -class models: A52 5G, A72 and A32. These smartphones that were released in 2020 were extremely popular with users.

< P > S20 series installed a high bar: it became the first in Samsung with Video 8K, 120-German screens and fast charging up to 45 watts in Ultra. However, after p & rsquo; years of updates, including the transition from Android 10 to Android 14, their cycle of support end.

< P > This is a standard practice for most manufacturers: devices get updates for a certain time, after which focus shifts to new models.

< P > Users will now either have to put up with the lack of new security functions and patches, or think about moving to current devices. The company, however, leaves a chance for emergency updates if critical vulnerability is revealed as happened to other old models.
