Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra could become the most expensive top smartphone of 2025

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra may become the most expensive among the top smartphones of 2025

Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra has been gaining attention thanks to rumors of new features and improvements, but now it's also causing concern due to a possible price hike. Weibo insider Setsuna Digital claims that the cost of materials for the new flagship has increased by $110 compared to the Galaxy S24 Ultra. If Samsung decides to pass those costs on to consumers, the price could jump from $1,299.99 to more than $1,400 in some regions. This positions the S25 Ultra as one of the most expensive flagships in the mass market, ahead of devices such as the iPhone 16 Pro Max and the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL.

What else is known about the new product

One of the main factors behind the price increase is the new Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. It costs 25-30% more than the previous model, which adds about $200 to the total manufacturing cost. This chip will provide high performance, but will also significantly affect the final price of the device.

In addition, Samsung plans to install a new M14 display panel, which should solve the graininess problem observed in previous models. This panel will provide higher brightness, but it is not yet clear whether it will be used, as the company may stay with the current M13 panel to reduce costs.

The S25 Ultra is also expected to receive an improved 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, replacing the 12-megapixel sensor. This upgrade will significantly improve photography capabilities, but will also increase manufacturing costs.

Among other expected innovations – new software features and animations, as well as frame interpolation technology for games, which allows you to reach 120 frames per second. Users are eagerly waiting to see what changes the Galaxy S25 Ultra will bring, and how they will affect its price.
