Amperex Technology Limited (ATL) will supply the components. They collaborated with Samsung several years ago, and the interaction will be repeated for the Galaxy S21 line. It is assumed that the brand will establish production of batteries with a capacity of 4000, 4800, and 5000 mAh. Batteries of the same shape must be S21, S21 + and S21 Ultra, according to insider information.
In the past, ATL was involved in the production of batteries for the Galaxy A and Galaxy M. However, in 2016, the Korean brand decided to withdraw from the cooperation due to a complete failure with the Galaxy Note7. Batteries often caught fire or exploded, Samsung chose new partners. Experts believe that future interaction with the Chinese company will reduce costs. It is unclear how this will affect the quality of the flagships.
