Samsung copies Apple: Galaxy S25 smartphone contains familiar iPhone features

Smartphone manufacturers often imitate each other. In particular, Macworld points out that with the release of the new Galaxy S25 models, Samsung has introduced many One UI 7 features that resemble the capabilities of the latest iPhones.

What you should know

In particular, Galaxy AI has implemented the integration of third-party chatbots, which is reminiscent of the implementation of ChatGPT in Apple Intelligence. In the near future, Apple's set of AI tools will become compatible with Google Gemini. The publication also notes that Gemini launches an animation on the Galaxy S25, which is similar to the bright light animation of the Siri frame on Apple devices.

In addition, Samsung announced the ability to record, summarize and transcribe phone calls in the “Phone” application for Galaxy S25 models. These options are already present in iOS 18. The “Settings” application now has a new section dedicated to battery information. It, like in iOS, provides data on the number of cycles, battery health and other related characteristics. Although Samsung has more extensive data on battery health.

However, these are not the only features that were borrowed from the Samsung Galaxy S25 line. Macworld notes a number of other features, including the Now Bar, which is clearly inspired by Live Activities on iOS, as well as various interface elements that resemble the iPhone.

However, that doesn't mean Apple hasn't taken ideas from Samsung. For example, the company has introduced the option to change the color of app icons, added quick settings toggles, and offered a customizable lock screen. These are features that Galaxy owners have been using for a long time.
