Samsung announced the release of the Galaxy S25 Slim: what will be the thinnest smartphone of the brand

A new rumor from Korean publication etnews (via resident insider Jukanlosreve) claims that Samsung is working on a “slim” model for the Galaxy S25 series. However, it will not launch alongside the main series. About it writes Tom's Guide.

According to the report, the Galaxy S25 Slim will be launched later this year as a follow-up. The slimmer S25 is rumored to be a test launch to gauge public interest.

Unnamed industry sources said: “The company may release it in small batches to gauge market response and change the lineup in a year.”

This is not exactly an extraordinary event for Samsung. In July, the company released the Galaxy Z Fold 6. Most recently, it released the Z Fold 6 Special Edition, which is thinner, lighter and has a larger display, although the phone is currently only available in Korea and may soon be released in China. This suggests that we could see the slim S25 device around April 2025.

A Jukanlosreve insider said: “I believe this will include the adoption of the Exynos 2400 and an April launch.”

Samsung has struggled to get its next-generation Exynos chips off the ground, with less-than-viable outputs at its foundries. However, there are reports that the company is already looking at next year for its next processors.
