Warner Bros has just unveiled the first images of Salem's Lot, the new adaptation of Stephen King. An intriguing first look at this new adaptation of the master of horror.
What is Salem's Lot?
Directed by Gary Dauberman (Annabelle – The House of Evil), Salem's Lot tells the fate of Ben Mears. The latter decides to return to his hometown: Salem. Problem, it is infested with vampires. He manages to convince a small group of believers to fight the undead. Casting-wise, Salem's Lot brings together a cast notably led by Bill Camp, Spencer Treat Clark, Makenzie Leigh, Bill Camp and Lewis Pullman in the role of Ben Mears.
Initially, the film was to be released in theaters. But ultimately, Warner Bros. would opt more for a release on HBO Max. Despite a release on the platform, Gary Dauberman promises that Salem's Lotwill be a cinematographic experience:
It's a road-head movie. Like most horror movies, it's the audience that elevates the experience. So I think seeing so many people crammed into a couch to watch the movie is a good thing.
