Salaries in state bodies have increased since the beginning of the year: which structures receive the most

The Ministry of Finance has updated data on wages and the number of employees of state bodies, local state administrations and judicial authorities.

In August 2024, the average salary in state bodies amounted to 55.8 thousand hryvnias. This is reported by the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.

If compared with January, the salary of officials increased by 44.6%. At the beginning of the year, it amounted to 38.6 thousand hryvnias (on average full-time workers in Ukraine receive 21 thousand hryvnias).

The highest salaries, according to the Ministry of Finance, are in the National Commission for State Regulation in the Energy and Utilities Sectors (NKREKP). On average, its employees receive 111.9 thousand hryvnias per month.

High salaries are also in the Antimonopoly Committee – 97.0 thousand hryvnias on average. In the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers, the average salary is 71.5 thousand hryvnias.

TOP-5 state institutions by the level of salaries:

  1. National commission that carries out state regulation in the field of energy and communal services – UAH 111.9 thousand
  2. Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine – 97.0 thousand UAH
  3. National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting – 79.7 thousand UAH
  4. Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine – 52.5 thousand hryvnias
  5. The Ministry of Youth and Sports – 52.2 thousand hryvnias

At the same time, if we compare the salaries of heads of institutions, they receive an average of 117,500 hryvnias, while workers – 18,700 hryvnias.

As you know, on September 17, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the resource bill on tax increases in the first reading. Project 11416-d will increase the rate of military duty, the income tax of banks and financial companies, and will introduce an advance payment for gas stations. This should provide the Ukrainian budget with additional funds.
