MOSCOW (Reuters) – Sakhalin-2 operator Sakhalin Energy has suspended the project's largest offshore oil and gas platform for repairs for just under a month, the company said.
Oil and associated gas production at this platform within the Piltun-Astokhskoye oil field has been ongoing since the end of 2008. The average daily productivity of the platform in 2019 was 29,400 barrels of oil, and since the beginning of development, the platform has produced more than 139 million barrels of oil.
During the preventive measures, the company will continue to produce oil, gas and condensate from other platforms and plans to produce about 2.1 million barrels, which will be approximately three standard shipments of oil, the report said.
