According to preliminary information, the plane could have crashed due to a pilot error — it could have hooked on a power line.
Firefighters worked at the scene of the incident.
The press service of the Southern Military District (SMD) said that the Su-25 attack aircraft crashed while performing a planned training training flight.
The Southern Military District indicated that the flight was carried out without ammunition, the plane crashed in a deserted place, there was no destruction on the ground. The death of the pilot was also confirmed there.
According to the district, a technical malfunction of the Su-25 is considered as the main version of the crash.
"According to preliminary information, the cause of the accident could be a technical malfunction", — said in Southern Military District.
A commission of the military space forces of the Russian Federation is working at the scene of the incident.
BAGNET recalls that on June 17, a Russian military aircraft performing a planned training flight. The pilot managed to eject, he is alive. Upon impact with the ground, the plane caught fire.
