A military delegation from Russia headed by Minister Sergei Shoigu has already arrived in the Belarusian capital on a working visit. The meeting of the Russian guests in Minsk is reported by the press service of the Belarusian defense ministry.

It is reported that the Belarusian and Russian sides will discuss issues of bilateral cooperation in military-technical and other spheres within the framework of this meeting. “On September 16, a military delegation from Moscow headed by the head of the Russian Defense Ministry Sergei Shoigu arrived in Minsk to discuss bilateral military cooperation between Russia and Belarus,” the message says.
It is noteworthy that a few days earlier, the first stage of the bilateral tactical exercises “Slavic Brotherhood” began on the territory of the Republic, in which Russian military personnel also take part. As previously reported by the Russian Defense Ministry, the exercise began on September 14 and will be completed 11 days later.
It is also reported that from the Russian side about three hundred servicemen and about seven dozen units of special and military equipment of the Pskov Airborne Forces were involved in these maneuvers. The paratroopers from Belarus and Russia, within the framework of the exercises, will have to work out the interaction between units when performing a variety of combat and tactical tasks.
