Russian military aircraft violated Finnish airspace, the agency writes Bloomberg with reference to the country's Ministry of Defense.
An enemy plane entered Finnish territory to a depth of more than 2.5 km. and was in the airspace of a foreign country for about two minutes.
“We take the potential territorial violation seriously and immediately launched an investigation,” said Finnish Defense Minister Antti Häkkänen.
Bloomberg notes that this is the first such case since Finland joined NATO. As you know, the country officially became a member of the Alliance on April 4, 2023.
The last time Russian planes violated Finnish airspace was in August 2022. Then two Russian fighter jets flew into the country's airspace at once.
