MOSCOW (Reuters) – The Russian health care system is fully mobilized and ready for a possible worsening of the situation with the spread of the coronavirus, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Wednesday.
The number of coronavirus infections fell to a minimum at the end of August and began to grow again, returning to the level of the beginning of summer, today the maximum increase has been recorded since June 14. The total number of infections increased by 0.7% per day to 1,176,286 people.
Peskov said that the main thing in the fight against the epidemic is not bans, but the level of preparation of the health care system in each locality.
