The company also says that it is counting on the localization of the production of electric motors and batteries for them, which at the moment have to be purchased from Chinese suppliers. Representatives of GAZ presented the first three copies of all-electric GAZelle e-NN at a conference in Nizhny Novgorod.

According to the managing director of the company Andrey Sofonov, the pre-production prototypes of the equipment were assembled on the regular assembly line of the plant, where their serial assembly will be established in the future. The design of the new products is based on a new unified electrical platform – the versatility of the architecture allows the production of a wide range of light commercial vehicles, including minibuses, flatbed light trucks, vans and a wide variety of special equipment options.

Now the specialists of the GAZ company are working on the technology so that later cars with gasoline, diesel, gas and electric power plants could be assembled in one stream.
