MOSCOW (Reuters) – The average price of Russian pipeline gas for deliveries to China fell to $ 144 per 1,000 cubic meters in July, compared with $ 182 in the second and $ 202 in the first quarters, Interfax reported, citing Chinese customs data.
Gazprom's contract (MCX: GAZP) for the supply of gas via the Power of Siberia gas pipeline, which was launched last year, is tied to the price of fuel oil and gas oil with a 9-month lag. Since, according to the contract, gas prices change on a quarterly basis, it can be assumed that the price level of $ 144 per 1,000 cubic meters will be valid until the end of September, Interfax reported.
The withdrawal of Russian gas by China in July rose to 12.2 million cubic meters per day from 10 million cubic meters per day in June and 9 million cubic meters per day from February to May.
