Russia has suspended flights to a number of countries since March 27 due to the coronavirus pandemic. By the decision of the headquarters, created to combat the corresponding disease, export flights, which allowed Russians to return to their homeland in the conditions of a transport blockade, have been stopped since September 21. In August-September, the Russian Federation began to partially resume international flights. During the briefing, Zakharova noted that against the background of the voiced recommendations from the Russian operational headquarters, there are potential risks of new blocking of flights, as well as the possibility of introducing special quarantine measures.
The representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that in such conditions there is a risk of being stuck abroad for an indefinite period of time without the possibility of leaving another state. Zakharova urged Russians to plan their travels as responsibly as possible, as well as to take into account the described risks. In particular, the last flight under the export algorithm program will arrive in Moscow on September 25, RIA Novosti reports.
