The Russian Foreign Ministry considers Washington's attempts to illegally leave its military in the northeast of the Syrian Arab Republic (SAR) unacceptable. Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Sergei Vershinin spoke about this on November 5.
According to the diplomat, any measures aimed at strengthening the presence of the US military contingent are contrary to international law and illegal.
“Any actions, we are not talking about which ones, with which they are trying to consolidate the illegal military presence of the United States, are, from our point of view, contrary to international law and unacceptable,” Vershinin specified.
Note that the US military is actively cooperating with Kurdish terrorists who have occupied a number of areas in northern Syria. The United States is helping militants smuggle stolen oil, and American leader Donald Trump is gradually increasing the number of troops in the region, sending large convoys of military equipment there.
