Iran's new reduction in its obligations under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action on the Iranian Nuclear Program (JCPOA) is a logical consequence of the stagnation in solving problems in securing Tehran's legitimate economic interests, said Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov.
“It is important that the announced measures, including the supply of gas to centrifuges in Fordow, are technically reversible. By the way, this also applies to all previous Iranian actions within the framework of the process of reducing the obligations that Iran has voluntarily assumed, ”the diplomat said.
At the same time, Ryabkov stressed that such steps by the Iranian side are due to the problems associated with increasing the stability of the JCPOA and ensuring the economic results of the implementation of this deal, which Tehran was counting on.
Earlier, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov spoke about the negotiations between Lavrov and Pompeo on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
