Russia plans to spy on Ukraine using the Iranian Khayyam intelligence satellite, which it intends to launch in the coming days. against Western officials.

"Roskosmos" plans to launch the satellite on August 9 from the Baikonur cosmodrome using a Soyuz-2.1b rocket.

Iran plans to use the Khayyam satellite for spying on important objects in Iran and the Persian Gulf. Russia built for "Khayam" system “Kanopus-V”, equipped with a high-resolution camera – 1.2 meters.

According to sources in the West, Moscow informed Tehran of its intention to independently use the satellite to monitor targets in Ukraine.
