The pioneering smartphone received a lot of not very good reviews, but Royole did not abandon the idea of creating a high-quality flexible device. In March, it became known that the company was developing a successor to the FlexPai. The presentation of the mobile novelty took place the day before. The main difference between the model was its format. The device is made in the form of a book that can be folded outward. The display has a diagonal of 7.8 inches with a resolution of 1,920 by 1,440 pixels. This means that when unfolded, the smartphone turns into a full-fledged tablet.
When folded, the FlexPai 2 looks like a device with two screen sections – front and back. The front diagonal reaches 5.5 inches, and the rear – 5.4 inches. There is a quadruple chamber, the elements of which are arranged vertically. The new smartphone is based on the Snapdragon 865. The model is controlled by waterOS 2.0 based on Android 10. The device is powered by a 4,450 mAh battery. The device has a lot of options, including Wi-Fi 802.11ax, Bluetooth 5.x, GPS / GLONASS and others. Supports 5G standard.
For the 8/256 GB version of the device, the buyer will have to pay $ 1,470. The package with 12/512 GB will cost $ 1,710. The device is currently available for pre-order, which means that in the near future the new product will try to conquer the global market.
