Recently, an increase in the number of cases of infection of citizens with COVID-19 has been noted in the Russian Federation. At the same time, Rospotrebnadzor explained that this is still a continuation of the first wave of infection, which is developing along a curve. The pandemic has not stopped since its beginning in March 2020. According to the operational headquarters, over the last 24 hours in Russia, more than 7.2 thousand new infections have been recorded. In total, there are more than 1.13 million cases in the country. Since the start of the pandemic, 934 thousand Russians have been cured, at least 20 thousand citizens have died.

Earlier, the deteriorating situation with COVID-19 was also reported in the EU countries.
