Romania raised fighter jets through an unknown drone

Romania on Thursday, October 17, took four fighter jets into the air after a drone invaded its airspace. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of the country, writes Reuters.

It is known that the drone penetrated to a depth of 14 km in the southeastern county of Konstanz.

“Radar signal indicated that the land border of Romania was crossed at approximately 7:00 p.m.,” the Ministry of Defense said.

It is worth noting that the object was first detected when it was heading towards Romania over Black by sea.

Romania raised two of its own F-16 fighters and two Spanish F-18s, which until the end of the year will carry out airspace protection missions in the country.

The Ministry of Defense emphasized that the army is currently searching for a potential drone crash site.
