According to activists, there are usually different cases in important documents. At the same time, compilers, as a rule, do not pay attention to the rules of the Russian language. As a result, some surnames are indicated incorrectly in the documents, and citizens need a lot of time to correct the mistakes of officials.

As evidence, the authors of the initiative cite many controversial points in the spelling of the surname. To eliminate the problem, activists propose to introduce a simple rule: use exclusively the nominative case.
