On February 10, a fire was reported at the Ahau hotel in Tulum, which is owned by Roberto Palazuelos. So this Thursday, the actor finally explained all the details about the event.
“It was a very small thing, a boiler exploded in one of the little cabins at the back, which were the kind that are rented to guests, but it was controlled very quickly. The cabin was consumed, but finally the fire came because you see that there was an attempt before and now it is, but it was a part that if you enter the hotel you do not see it right now and it is there in the back ”, said the businessman for the Ventaneando program .
The artist stressed that, although the incident did not happen to adults, it was a dangerous situation, since the cabins are made of palapa and that could facilitate the fire to spread quickly.
However, Palazuelos commented that the help was timely from neighbors, firefighters and the police. He also mentioned that there were no losses during the fire and that the insurance would take care of the damages caused in the accident.
He also highlighted that one of his employees was burned, for which he was transferred by ambulance and is currently receiving the necessary care for his speedy recovery.
" Now I am followed by the fires of a few months around here, " said Palazuelos, after recalling that recently he was asleep at the Diamante K hotel and a lightning strike struck a cabin.
In this sense, he said that, as He had a bad relationship with the director of the park, the latter did not let the firefighters pass and that caused the entire hotel to almost catch fire. The Black Diamond pointed out that the insurance took between seven or eight months on that occasion to provide the corresponding financial compensation.
It should be noted that, in addition to the previous fires in which the celebrity has become, one of those that has caused the most controversy was the one where a man and a woman were caught setting fire to one of the palapas.
The event took place on Tuesday , December 8, where the situation was captured on video. Those involved were dressed as tourists and it can be seen how the man uses his lighter to set fire to the vegetation, while the woman watched that no one saw them.
A month later, in an interview for the television program Ventaneando, The businessman, who is also trained in law, assured that the identity of the two people captured on video is already known.
He commented that the investigation folder accuses the crime of attempted murder due to damage to the property of others. This is because, as revealed, these people made a comment to one of the waiters where they joked about "burning them alive." The motive for the alleged crime, according to Palazuelos, was the annoyance due to the bill they had to pay for the services they occupied at the hotel, which amounted to 2,300 pesos.
“Today a hearing was held with the control judge who brings the procedure and already in that hearing the National Banking Commission delivered the information on the name of who the card is to, which will coincide with the people we already know who They are and we are going to link to the process, ” said the Black Diamond on February 11.
Regarding the impact on tourism by the COVID-19 pandemic, Palazuelos said that Tulum -the area where his hotels are located- was in fashion and therefore people continued to go quite frequently.
