A resume is your first step to a job, and it should be flawless. However, job seekers often get it right.

This is what the CATBOSS Telegram channel says.

Here are some mistakes to avoid in order not to lose your chance at an interview:

1. Spelling and grammar mistakes. The slightest mistake can highlight your carelessness. Before sending your resume, check it for errors, preferably several times or with the help of other people.

2. Lack of structure. It is important that your resume is easy to read. Use clear headings, bullet points and short paragraphs. This will help the recruiter quickly find the necessary information.

3. Avoid clichés. Provide specific examples of your achievements and results. It is better to indicate what you did and what the result was than to simply list the responsibilities.

4. Be honest in your resume. False information can negatively affect your reputation if discovered.

5. Keep your resume to 1-2 pages, focusing on the most important points. Recruiters usually look at a lot of resumes, so keeping the information short and focused on the key points is to your advantage.

6. Make sure you provideup-to-date contact information so the recruiter can easily contact you.
