Responding to voice messages will become more convenient and faster thanks to the new WhatsApp messenger feature

WhatsApp updates are constantly happening, and the messaging app from Meta has been surprising us with new and interesting features for several weeks now. The latest news about WhatsApp is that a new way to reply to voice messages will soon appear, which will increase the convenience of users when performing this action.

What else is known

This new feature was discovered thanks to an analysis of the latest beta version of WhatsApp for Android by WABetaInfo. In version 2.24.26.6 of WhatsApp for Android, it was discovered that in order to make it easier to reply to a voice message with a message of the same type, the chat interface was changed.

Until now, to reply to a voice message on WhatsApp, you had to swipe your finger on the received message and then tap on the microphone icon to start recording the voice message. WhatsApp wants to change this whole process, and to do this, it has added a new element to chats. This element is a microphone icon next to the voice messages received.

The functionality of this element is key: users who have received a voice message will be able to tap directly on this icon to start recording the voice message, thus automating the process. WhatsApp will completely abandon the process of recording voice messages using the current icon. The process will be simplified in such a way that it will be very easy to reply using the new feature.

All this will add convenience that was not there before and improve the experience of using the application. It is even surprising that WhatsApp has not thought of such an addition yet, because this feature will be very useful for users who communicate using voice messages.

However, it is not available yet. The new feature was discovered in the beta version, so it is still under development. It is likely that with the launch of the next stable version of WhatsApp, the new voice message sending feature will be integrated.
