Residents of Ukraine who continue to use banned Russian social networks, including VKontakte, will begin to be registered with the police. The corresponding initiative was proposed by Alexey Danilov, representing the NSDC.

The politician's words were voiced during a recent briefing. He said that users of social networks banned at the state level in Ukraine should be registered with law enforcement agencies. The resources that have come under the sanctions manage to bypass the blocking due to proxy servers, against which Kiev wants to attract foreign experts to help. Danilov added that those who distribute Russian content in the country may run into real problems with the police.
This statement was made against the background of information from VKontakte about bypassing the blocking in Ukraine in the official application. Thanks to this, you can use it without additional VPN services. Blocking VK, Odnoklassniki and Yandex has been in effect in the country since 2017. In May 2020, Vladimir Zelensky extended it.
