The Montreal City Police Service (SPVM) is investigating gunshots heard during at night by residents of the Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce borough.

A 911 call on Sunday around 2 a.m. alerted police to several gunshots heard on Trans Island Avenue, near Queen Mary Road.

Upon arrival, the police discovered at least one shell casing on the ground.

Checks are underway to locate surveillance cameras that would allow us to know a little more about this event. For the moment, no injuries have been reported and there have been no arrests, said agent Jeanne Drouin, spokesperson for the SPVM.
