Ukrainians in the Signal messenger began to receive messages about the need to “put out fires on their own.” Such “warnings” are sent allegedly on behalf of the State Emergency Service.
This is reported by RBK-Ukraine with reference to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine on Facebook.
“Some users of the Signal messenger with Ukrainian numbers received messages supposedly from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine with information about a significant reduction in the number of service employees and the need for citizens to independently eliminate fires and other emergencies,” the State Emergency Service noted.
The rescuers emphasize that they did not send such messages and did not make any official statements about staff reductions or changes in the procedure for responding to calls.
In The State Emergency Service added that they are working normally and responding to all calls from citizens, so in case of an emergency, Ukrainians should call 101 or 112.
“We remind you that independently eliminating fires or other emergencies without appropriate skills can threaten your life and health,” the rescuers drew attention.
