The head of the papal alms service, Cardinal Konrad Krajewski, came under fire in Ukraine during the distribution of humanitarian aid. This is reported by ANSA.
It is noted that the representative of the Pope, along with two bishops and accompanied by a soldier we went to distribute humanitarian aid to settlements “where no one else goes except soldiers”.
At one of the stops, the group came under fire and the cardinal, along with the others, had to go to a safe place.
“For the first time in my life, I didn't know where to run, because it's not enough just to run, you need to know where”, – commented Kraevsky.
