It seems that early “leaks” that Nvidia will release the entire desktop line of RTX 50 generation graphics cards in a short time are confirmed. Chinese partner Colorful shared data according to which the RTX 5060 Ti and RTX 5060 models will be released in March.
Thus, the entire main RTX50 line will be released in just three months, or if you count more precisely, even two, since the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 went on sale on January 30. Usually, budget xx6x cards are released no earlier than May.
GeForce RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti should become the most affordable cards in the Blackwell family. In the previous generation, Nvidia did not release a GeForce RTX 4050, and insiders did not report anything about the existence of a GeForce RTX 5050 either.
So far, the specifications of the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti and RTX 5060 are unknown. Most likely, the RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti will have 8 GB of memory, but the older version will have a 16 GB modification. The bus will be 128-bit, but thanks to GDDR7 memory, the bandwidth, compared to its predecessors, will increase noticeably: from 272-288 GB/s to 448 GB/s.
For now, we can say with confidence only one thing: the RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti will cost less than $549. The GeForce RTX 5070, which will be released at the end of February, will be sold for this money. True, it will probably be extremely difficult to buy it for such an amount at first.
From the point of view of positioning, the competitors of the RTX 5060 may be Intel Arc B580 and AMD Radeon RX 9060. The latter has not yet been announced, but the former with 12 gigabytes of memory and a price of $250 is called the best card today in terms of “price-performance”.
