Administrative cases were opened against the wives and relatives of those mobilized who went out on Saturday, September 21, with pickets to the building of the Russian Ministry of Defense in Moscow for participating in an uncoordinated public action. As reported by the human rights project “OVD-Info”, on Sunday the participants of the action began to be summoned to police departments for this, “Radio Liberty” reports.
On Saturday, September 21, about twenty women went to the building of the Ministry of Defense demanding the demobilization of their relatives, who have been participating in hostilities in Ukraine for two years. After they announced that they would stay with pickets for the night, the police began to detain them. Later, the women were released.

At the end of October of the same year, the Russian president announced its completion. However, he did not sign a decree to end mobilization, stating that there was no need for it. The absence of a decree allows the authorities not to release those mobilized from service, since legally the mobilization regime in Russia continues to operate.
Later, Putin said that those mobilized will remain in the army until the end of the so-called special military operation, as the Russian authorities call the war in Ukraine.
