The “New Ukrainian School” reform continues for the seventh year. It ended in primary school and continues in basic education.

In Ukraine, it is planned to introduce a three-year specialized secondary education. This means that Ukrainian schoolchildren will study not for 11 years, but for 12.

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine will launch a pilot project in 2025, and from 2027 – a three-year specialized secondary education. As the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, Oksen Lisovyi, said, the corresponding reform was organized so that after graduation from schools applicants would be better prepared for university.

At the same time, the minister emphasized that schoolchildren would be able to independently choose study profiles according to your own interests:

We are currently working with our team of the directorate of higher education and foresee a reduction of the bachelor's degree in some areas. We will announce separately when we come to this decision, said the minister.
