The Redmi Note 8 smartphone has received a stable update to MIUI 12, based on Android 10. The owners of devices from the Chinese brand have long been waiting for an update for the proprietary shell.

The stable MIUI 12 for Redmi Note 8 was first mentioned back in July, with information emerging that the update could be released within a few weeks. However, the distribution of the shell based on Android 10 began by the developer only now. Users from China should be among the first to get the update, while owners of the global version will have to wait. The variant for the Chinese market does not have Google services. The installation of the branded shell will be carried out “over the air”.
Official testing of MIUI 12 for Redmi Note 8 started back in March this year. However, at that time, “trial” shell builds did not receive the best reviews from users.
