In the first edition of the travel show “LeMarshrutka” (New Channel), Ukrainians will see the Kyiv region and indomitable Ukrainians who prevented the enemy  in the advance to Kyiv

One of the settlements that stood in the way of the invaders at the beginning of the full-scale invasion was Ivankiv. Despite the sacrifice, the locals believe that they were lucky, if compared, for example, with Bucha, where the enemy was also standing. People believe in their guardian angel – Maria Prymachenko.

Maria Prymachenko is one of the most outstanding Ukrainian artists. The brightest! – says Lesya Nikityuk. – She lived all her life in the village of Bolotnia near Ivankov, and her fantastic animals traveled all over the world: they were exhibited in Prague, Paris, Warsaw, Montreal. Mystkina painted thousands of paintings during her life, and 14 of them were here, in Ivankovo, in the real treasury of Ukraine – the museum of Maria Prymachenko's works.

On February 25, fighting was going on in the village. Unfortunately, a shell got into the museum, which caused a fire.

There was a lot of fire above the main hall, we couldn't even go inside. In one window, they managed to tear out the bars, so three men climbed in there, – the museum employee recalls. – But no one managed to get into the hall where Maria Prymachenko's works were usually exhibited. Fortunately, the paintings were not there, because they were moved in advance closer to the exit from the museum. From there it was easy for the men to save them. We saved not only canvases, but also Ukrainian towels. About 20% of the museum's property was taken away. But, unfortunately, a lot of things burned down. jak-rjatuvali-z-pozhezhi-roboti-mariyi-primachenko-7f8eea2.jpg” alt=”«Real heroines»: Lesya Nikityuk told how the works of Maria Primachenko were saved from the fire” />

As it turned out, on the day the war began, wise and brave women took down all the paintings and put them in one place. One of Maria Prymachenko's works was shown in the issue of “LeMarshrutka” from the Kyiv region.

The painting “Bugay” is one of the 14 masterpieces of world art saved by local residents and museum workers, the presenter of the New Channel says while showing the work. – This is not only the strength of the spirit! I don't know what to call it. Only our people can do that… The museum burned down, it must be completely rebuilt. But when they do, we invite you to visit it and get to know the real heroines of that village. The energy is incredible! You don't get drunk like that anywhere.
