The Rashist army may be defeated in the coming months - statement

Boris Johnson is convinced that Ukraine is capable of turning the tide in the war this year, even in the coming months. The Ukrainian military-political leadership has a realistic plan.

He expressed this opinion at a briefing following the NATO summit in Madrid, which was broadcast by The Telegraph.

According to Johnson, the Ukrainian side has enough potential to get the territories back. The Ukrainians have already managed to push back the Russian occupiers from the outskirts of Kyiv, Kharkov and drive them away from the Serpent's Island. In this regard, NATO must continue on its intended course.

"I think they have the potential to turn things around. We have seen what Ukraine can do to push the Russians back. We have seen what they have done around Kyiv, around Kharkov, and now on Serpent's Island. I think that the best thing for us is to continue to follow the course that NATO has charted, no matter how difficult it is,” the head of the British government emphasized.

Johnson noted that during his visit to Kyiv before the summits of NATO and G7 leaders, the Ukrainian authorities made it clear that they see a way to change the dynamics of the war.

“I traveled to Ukraine before this series of summits began , precisely in order to understand what vision Zelensky and the Ukrainian authorities have. And they do see a way to change the dynamics of the war this year, even in the coming months. And therefore, now it is important to help as far as we can so that Ukraine can hold on,” the official said.

He noted that providing Ukraine with multiple launch rocket systems plays a big role in this situation and Ukrainians are learning to use them effectively.

“And if you need proof of the amazing ability of the Ukrainians to fight back, overcome difficulties and push back the Russians, then look at what happened today on Serpents' Island, where Russia was forced to give way,” the prime minister added.

For its part, Britain will provide an additional billion pounds in military assistance to the Ukrainians, stressed Boris Johnson.
