It is noted that a total of 51 copies of such cars were produced. Moreover, the car, which is planned to be sold at auction, previously belonged to the driver Miguel Duhamel, and its cost is estimated at 215 thousand dollars, which is equivalent to about 16 million rubles at the current exchange rate. For the first time, the Acura NSX Zanardi Edition, which was supplied to many markets under the Honda brand, was introduced in 1999. The Japanese concern released a special version of the sports car in honor of the 2-time champion of the local analogue of Formula 1, the Italian Alex Zanardi, who won gold in two seasons in a row – in 1997 and 1998.
The manufacturer gave 49 cars from the limited edition to its dealerships, one copy was personally donated to the hero of the occasion, and the last remained in the Honda press park. It differs from the standard version of the Acura NSX Zanardi Edition by its weight reduced by 68 kilograms, the presence of a hard roof and the absence of power steering. Among other things, the car received light-alloy wheels from the legendary BBS company, an original spoiler, as well as a special aluminum nameplate in the form of Zanardi's autograph and the number of his car in the CART series.
