Ramzan Kadyrov told in his account on the VKontakte social network how the ancient rite of initiation into men goes. The main procedure is the ceremony of presenting a hat and tying a belt with a dagger. These attributes are highly valued by Chechen men and symbolize courage, valor, dignity and honor. The dagger is taken out of its scabbard only when it is necessary to defend good and justice. Ramzan Kadyrov was moved by the initiation of his son Akhmat into a man. For this event, the young man's grandmother and his mother sewed a snow-white cloak for him. Along with the rite of initiation into men among the Chechen people, the ethical code of honor, which is called “Konakhalla”, is of great importance.
The Chechens are convinced that this set of laws reflects the behavior of any man, regardless of whether he is a Muslim or not. “Qonahalla” contains the necessary moral norms of behavior that are inherent in believers who consider themselves worthy sons of their people. The origins of the code of honor are parallels of a cult – a person who is a national hero, including the most ancient layers of the Chechen epic.
