Speech synthesis, based on artificial intelligence, makes it possible to generate spoken text from written text.

The solidarity deputy responsible for the ethics file, Vincent Marissal, returns to the charge in the file of the CAQ's financing activities. This time he targets Yves Montigny, CAQ member for René-Lévesque, in what he describes as being “another example giving the appearance of paid access to a minister.”

Vincent Marissal claims to have obtained a screenshot of a text message exchange between the provincial deputy and an entrepreneur, in which Yves Montigny invites him to participate in a fundraising cocktail in Baie-Comeau at the cost $100 entry fee. The evening in question was held on November 16 in the presence of the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, André Lamontagne.

I know we haven't always done what you wanted but it's a great opportunity to talk to a minister!, we can read in the text exchange.

According to Québec solidaire, this type of invitation is similar to what led to the two investigations launched in the last two weeks by the Ethics Commissioner at the request of Mr. Marissal, and which affect two other government deputies , Sylvain Lévesque and Louis-Charles Thouin.

With each day that passes, it is more and more obvious that there is a system in François Legault's party to monetize access to government ministers. This must stop and it must stop now!, denounces in a press release the solidarity deputy responsible for the ethics file.

Faced with these reproaches, the communications director of the cabinet of government whip responded that Yves Montigny simply invited an acquaintance and that he respected all the rules regarding financing.

Never has a CAQ elected official demanded a contribution from anyone to have access to a minister. To claim otherwise is simply false and misleading.
