MOSCOW (Reuters) – Russian President Vladimir Putin plans to be vaccinated against coronavirus ahead of his visit to South Korea, his spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Tuesday.

According to him, Putin previously said that he was thinking of getting vaccinated against the coronavirus and intends to take advantage of the invitation to travel to Seoul after he has done it.

Putin announced in early August that Russia was the first in the world to register a coronavirus vaccine and said that his daughter had already been vaccinated. In August, the Sputnik V vaccine produced by the N.N. N.F. Gamalei.
