Putin lover accused of preparing sabotage at military infrastructure facilities in Germany

The German Federal Prosecutor's Office has announced an indictment against 40-year-old German-Russian citizen Dieter S., who is alleged to have planned sabotage at German military infrastructure facilities.

This was reported by "European Pravda" with reference to Spiegel.

Dieter S., 40, who was arrested in April 2024, is accused of “membership in a foreign terrorist organization” and “preparing a serious act of violence that threatens the state.”

According to the indictment, the man was a member of the terrorist group “Donetsk People's Republic” in December 2014 – September 2016, when he fought against Ukraine.

Dieter S. later contacted a person with ties to the Russian intelligence service and discussed possible sabotage activities in Germany aimed at undermining the German government's military support for Ukraine since at least October 2023.

According to the German Federal Prosecutor's Office, the discussions included, among other things, explosions and arson at military infrastructure and industrial facilities, in particular the US military training center in Grafenwöhr, where Ukrainian troops are also training.

Dieter S.'s likely accomplice, 37-year-old Alexander J., helped him scout out possible targets and also took photos and videos, for example, of military vehicles, the indictment says.

Like Dieter S., Alexander J. was arrested in Bavaria in April 2024 and has been in custody since then. During searches of both men's homes, investigators seized several drones, as well as mobile phones and cameras.

German counterintelligence believes that Russia is increasingly resorting to blackmail and financial incentives to hire Germans to spy on its behalf.
