Negotiations continue to take the magnitude between the Common Front and the government. Sunday morning, the Alliance of Professional and Technical Personnel in Health and Social Services (APTS), which represents health professionals and technicians, announced a possible settlement at the negotiating tables.

No less than 80% of the 420,000 union members of the Common Front have reached this stage of negotiations with the government.

For a little over a year, we are working hard to obtain an improvement in your conditions of exercise and practice as well as better recognition of your expertise in order to fight against the labor shortage and work overload in our public network , declared the president of the APTS, Robert Comeau, in a press release.

Saturday evening, it was the Administrative Staff Union of the CIUSSS de l'Estrie-CHUS, affiliated with the FSSS-CSN, which announced a breakthrough in its negotiations with the employer.

For us, at the CSN, all of the sectoral tables have been settled. We will be able to go before our members following an agreement at the central table. There is still the central table to settle, but at least we see that we are moving forward, rejoices the president of the Central Council of National Unions of Estrie, Denis Beaudin.
