a PS5 exclusive which is making a comeback

The year 2024 is clearly not shaping up to be the richest for PS5 owners. While a few exclusive titles have stood out from the game, such as Final Fantasy VII Rebirth in February, big releases are not that common. Not enough to spit in the soup, especially since owners of Sony's latest console have just received a more than welcome surprise.A PlayStation 5 exclusive has indeed just returned to the forefront, offering a demo several days after its release! Better yet, it's a game in which you play as a samurai, in a world partly inspired by Assassin's Creed and From Software productions (Elden Ring, Sekiro, Dark Souls).

You've probably understood, it's the very good Rise of the Roninthat it is now possible to try before paying! Because obviously, the demo offered by Team Ninja is completely free, and we will simply regret that it was not offered earlier, to avoid some players buying a game without knowing exactly what awaits them. In any case, this is good news to end the week!

a playable demo for rise of the ronin

If you don't know what to do with your weekend, we've found something to keep you busy for at least a few dozen minutes: PlayStation and Team Ninja (Nioh, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty) have in fact put online the playable demo of Rise of the Roninon PS5. Completely free, it can now be downloaded and offers you to discover the very beginning of the game. The player can thus create his character and the “twin blade” which will accompany him throughout the game, then progress to the fight against Gonzo, which people who have already played the game released in March 2024 will certainly remember. The good news is that your progress will be retainedif you decide to get the full game later.

The developers also took advantage of the release of this demo to reveal some new statistics, notably on the completion rate of this or that part of the title. While it is regrettable that a playable demo was only offered four months after the release of Rise of the Ronin, the approach remains rare enough to be welcomed. As a reminder, Rise of the Ronin allows you to play as… a ronin, a samurai who is no longer committed to a master, in the midst of a war between the Tokugawa shogunate and factions unhappy with the growing Western influence in the end of the Edo era. And it will be up to you, the player, to decide which side to choose.

Far from being perfect, the title can still count on a superb atmosphere, an interesting open world to explore and fights as demanding as they are exciting. You can therefore download the playable demo now on PS5 to make up your own mind.
