Prominent Belgian newspaper leaves social network X due to "toxicity and misinformation"

One of the most famous Belgian newspapers, De Morgen, has decided to no longer publish posts on Elon Musk's social network X due to “toxicity and disinformation on the platform”.

This is stated in a column by the newspaper's editor-in-chief, Remi Amkreutz.

«Enough. Elon Musk's values are diametrically opposed to democratic society and De Morgen. We put human rights first. Always,” he wrote.

According to Amkreutz, Elon Musk is a danger to the United States and, consequently, to Europe.

«We simply no longer want to be part of a toxic platform, and a platform where disinformation, conspiracy theories and racism gain popularity without any moderation», he noted.
