Pro-Russian commercials aired on Ukrainian TV channels due to hacker attack

On Thursday, December 5, a number of telecom providers that broadcast Ukrainian TV channels were attacked by hackers — pro-Russian videos appeared on the air. This was reported by journalists of Suspilny in Kyiv.

In particular, the provider Triolan stated that it plans to resolve the problem with the signal by 9:00 p.m.

«Unfortunately, unauthorized interference was detected on our network, which affected the operation of cable television. We are already working to fix the problem and are making every effort to restore the service as soon as possible», — the company reported.

According to previous information, some TV channels broadcast a video in which a woman complains in Russian about«bad life in Ukraine» and calls to move to the aggressor country of Russia.

On July 21, a number of well-known Ukrainian Telegram channels were recorded postings of provocative nature.

According to open source data, hackers hacked the FleepBot post publishing automation service, which was developed and owned by a company from Russia. After that, they started making posts in Telegram channels on behalf of the owners.

To fix the problem, the State Special Forces Service recommended removing the FleepBot bot from the channel administrators.
