Ukrainians will soon pay less for the purchase of electric vehicles. The Verkhovna Rada approved government bill No. 7418, which cancels one of the previously mandatory fees for the purchase of electric cars, according to the website of the Ukrainian parliament, writes today.ua.
In particular, this law abolishes the Pension Fund fee upon first registration electric vehicles.
Recall that now the amount of the PF fee for the first registration of cars is from 3 to 5% of their value. So, 3% in the PF is paid if the car costs no more than 165 living wages for able-bodied persons, and 5% if the cost of the car exceeds 290 living wages for able-bodied persons.
Thus, this is how much money Ukrainians will now save when buying cars with an electric power plant. In the near future, this law will be signed by President Volodymyr Zelensky. It will come into force after publication in the state media.
Meanwhile, in Ukraine, which is faced with a shortage of gasoline and diesel fuel, an increase in interest in electric vehicles is recorded. True, they are still not very actively bought. So, in two months, Ukrainians cleared a little more than 700 electric cars for free.
