Within the framework of the “Free Assange” campaign, a tour that the spokespersons of the organization Wikileaks are taking through several countries, this Monday, November 21, two of their representatives are going to meet with President Gustavo Petro. The meeting will be held at the Casa de Nariño and, in addition to the president, it is known that other members of the National Government will be present.

Wikileaks will meet with the head of state,Kristinn Hrafsson, general editor of the portal, and Joseph Farrell, ambassador of the organization founded by Julian Assange. The organization confirmed that the meeting this Monday with President Petro will be at 9:00 in the morning.

According to what the organization said, at the meeting that will hold with the Colombian president, they will discuss issues related to the importance of freedom of expression and the right to information, values ​​that qualify as pillars of society.

“Wilileaks is a group with the Assange Defense Organization will meet, as a means of communication, with Latin American authorities and sectors of society organized civilian. WikiLeaks intends to talk about the risks that exist for democracy and press freedom if Assange is extradited to the United States,” the organization said.

Likewise, another of the issues to be addressed has to do with the arrest of Julian Assange, founder and main leader of the platform, a dialogue process carried out by the organization's spokespersons with various countries of Latin America.

It should be noted that Wikileaks is an international organization recognized for publishing anonymous reports of leaked documents from world powers, several of the cases that have had a greater incidence have to do with different publications that the web portal has made and that have to do with the United States.
