Police searched young "bloggers" who were blocking traffic in Kyiv

The Metropolitan Police conducted searches of two minors who appeared in scandalous videos that spread on social networks at the end of the week.

This was reported by law enforcement officers.

In the video, a group of young people demonstratively listened to Russian music, flaunted weapons and committed other provocative actions in the center of Kyiv, probably with the aim of creating content for social networks.

Law enforcement officers identified the six participants in the incident – residents of the capital aged 14 to 17. The young men, together with their parents, were invited to the police station to provide explanations.

As part of the criminal proceedings initiated under Part 1 of Art. 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives), investigators conducted searches at the residence of two minors.

During the searches, the following were seized:

  • weapons;
  • ammunition;
  • airsoft grenade;
  • knife;
  • computer equipment;
  • mobile phones.

Pre-trial investigation is currently underway.
