On Monday, November 18, the Polish government and manufacturers signed a letter of intent to produce nitrocellulose and gunpowder, which are needed to launch the production of large-caliber ammunition.
According to the Polish Ministry of Defense, the letter of intent was joined by Polish arms and industrial manufacturers Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa, Grupa Azoty, Agencja Rozwoju Przemysłu and MESKO. The government was represented by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.

In addition, Kosiniak-Kamysz announced plans to build an ammunition factory in Poland and to adopt a corresponding law.
“We decided to continue this project as a law because we believe that it is of crucial importance for our security. This is a pioneering step in our efforts to ensure the security of the country,” he said.
